Started on today's piece a little while ago and it just wasn't making sense. Worked on a few versions of it and didn't like any of them. Was going to try for something completely different using Reason 7 and then I realized "There's nothing wrong with this. These ARE the droids I'm looking for!"
It originally came from KristinaJoy over at hitRECord.

Day 73: Dark, Quick
Just a short work with horns, celeste, and piano. The piano and celeste are from the Abbey Road Refills collection from Propellerheads. One of my favorites.

Day 58: Film Music
Film music is something I hold very near and dear to my heart. Actors on the screen are attempting to invoke an emotion, meanwhile the composer is attempting to do the same, but in a (usually) much more subtle manner. This is an example of a less subtle manner, but an example all the same.
I imagine two possible applications here:
1. The King approaches on his horse (slow motion), sword drawn, about to deliver the felling blow to our hero, who is down. Music ends after he dismounts and takes a few steps, bringing him inches away from the hero.
2. The aged, evil king is slowly making his way across the throne room, all eyes on him, his would-be successor watches and plots.

Day 32: In the Still of the Nite
Something dark, different, and driving for a late night. A "modern" classical work, featuring atonal harmony, and very dense chord clusters.
Not sure why, maybe it's the old subconscious working something out, maybe it's just a change from electronic music and "every day" routine.
Oh yeah, made it a month! Hooray! (Celebration begins playing in background)
