Day 212: More weirdness

I'm not a huge fan of world music, but I am a fan of inappropriately placed segments of music from other cultures into western music.  This track has Indian vocal samples and tablas mixed with some totally screwed with synths.  Synth destruction courtesy of LoveOne Consulting rack extension BZR.

Day 206: Go Up There!?

My son continues to explore the cabin we're staying in and wants to make sure someone is protecting him from the stuffed moose head on the wall.  Luckily, there have been no fatalities thus far.

Day 154: Not Your Rock'n'Roll

Sometimes, late at night, you will stumble onto something magical.  At first you don't know what you've found, then it begins to take shape.  I hope this magic transfers to you and you cherish it as much as I have.

Day 113: Beautiful Noise

The WBL5515 is a nifty little noise maker that the developer was nice enough to give away for free.  It makes a neat little noise or two, but is a little challenging to make into something musical (or has been for me).  Today's piece is an attempt that started out as a little noise art and turned into a kind of sweet-ish ambient work.  There's still some noise and dissonance there, but nothing like what it started out as.  Added some drums from Nine Volt Audio to keep a pulse going and it kind of turned the thing into something normal-ish (gasp!).

Day 93: What you might find

In an attempt to keep from getting bored (like that's possible) and to continue to challenge myself I keep buying rack extensions.  I'm going to stop for awhile soon, but most recently this guy:

Has continued to confound me on a daily basis.  It makes beautiful and strange noises, doesn't seem to be super practical, and is a black hole of time-wasting.  I've mentioned it on some other posts, but I just wanted to point it out again today.  You can hear it in the background on the drums.  It's subtle, but they are processed.  It becomes a little more prevalent towards the end of the track.
