Day 475: Listening like a boss

A glitch hop piece.  Laid-back and groovy.

Am going to start on seriously licensing some music after I get done with this project.  24 more days left.

Day 325: Downtempo

This tune started as a commentary on success in the music business, but somehow it went off the rails and turned into a track about drug addiction. Maybe it's both. Most musicians would say that music is very much like a drug for them. It definitely is for me.

lyrics

How do you measure success?
What is a win to you?
What sins would you not confess?
When is a lie a truth?

I keep going back,
I keep going back to you.

How high is too high?
How low will you go?
When do you give up your name?
Does rock bottom just sound the same?

I keep going back,
I keep going back to you.

Day 132: Mutant

For having no time a lot of the last couple of days seems to have been spent waiting.  Waiting for someone, waiting to get somewhere, waiting to leave.  That might have been the inspiration for this track, or at least the lyrics.

Lyrics:
(Unintelligible singing)
Don't you want to wait your turn?
It's not my turn yet.
Is it yours?

Day 130: Shorty Say

Not sure what this song is.  Don't know what genre, don't know that the lyrics mean anything, don't know much.  It's different... that's the only thing I can say for sure.

Lyrics:
Shorty is sweety,
She don't know how to live.
Shorty is a sweety,
She don't know what she give.
I barely know her name.

Shorty is a sweety,
when the lights go out.
Shorty is a sweety,
She gotta shout.
Hop in the car.

Shorty, I don't think I'll ever forget you.
Not as long as I live.
Shorty, I don't think I can get you out of my head.

Day 28: It's Getting Dark in Here

Really getting tired... it's been a long day. Was able to squeak out this track though.  It's another gem from the $50 Hackintosh treasure chest.  Added a few guitars and mastered it on the "real" computer, but the bulk of the work was done on the Hackintosh. That Atom processor was really chugging along quite nicely.
This blog continues to be something I look forward to every day.  May not have a lot of people reading it, but it's keeping me going when things get stressful.  Kind of a free therapy, I suppose.
Hope it offers you a small degree of pleasure as well.
Cheers.

Day 10: Old is New Again

Another track made on the Hackintosh netbook.  Tried to push the DSP envelope on this one.  Almost came out sounding as mean as i wanted it to.  Used mostly thors and subtractors, but did add a Nucleus Soundlabs patch to fill it out.
