Been trying to participate in the Naviar Haiku project whenever possible. This is the first entry in awhile. I kind of like it.

Day 484: Space Jammies
Only a moment to upload this and get on with the day. It's short, but I'm really happy with it. I think it's because of the horn. See what you think.

Day 466: Quiet Struggle
Today is a quiet meditation on dreams. I wanted to do this project and had very specific goals in mind (not world domination, but close - that's a joke.)
I have grown immensely as an artist and producer (I feel) during this Opus. I also feel it is very much something to be proud of. I've created a lot of music that will hopefully get placement somewhere, someday. I've learned SO MUCH about using Reason software, which will continue to reward everything I do musically for some time to come. I wish I could keep it going. Part of me wanted to go for about 3 years, but I truly would like to spend some quality time on a few projects and it's just not possible when I'm doing this every day.
Here's Day 467. Thanks for listening.

Day 459: On the Dark Side of Mars
Another "4x4" track with some dark elements. I'm apparently on a tear with these things lately.
I've pretty much made up my mind now that 500 days will the end of this project. 500 Days is an Opus, no matter how you slice it.

Day 451: Such Doge Much Power
So, I've decided the name of the band will be SUCH DOGE MUCH POWER, and yes, the music will be on iTunes. I'm already paying for the ability to upload as much as I want to iTunes thru Distrokid so I figure I should take advantage of it. Won't be any worse than that Paris Hilton album.
LYRICS:
We stand on a pedestal,
10 feet above all,
The children try to touch our feet,
the children can't touch our feet.
We allow the people to come and view our form,
the people try to touch our feet.
The people can't touch our feet.
WE ARE ALL GODS IN OUR OWN EYES,
NOTHING HERE THAT SHOULD BE A SURPRISE,
ONLY EXPECTATION AND INVOCATION.
We dream small, we dream big.
It doesn't matter our dreams are reality.
The slaves, they try to make it real.
THE MOST IMPORTANT CHARACTER IN YOUR STORY IS YOUR OWN,
EVEN THOUGH YOU STILL DIE ALONE.
We are generous gods,
you may please us as you wish.
yes, you please us as we wish.

Day 447: Sickly
So I'm looking after two sickly little boys today. I believe they also may have infected me with whatever virus they have. Stomach is torn up, am not hungry, felt feverish earlier. Being sick is shit.
In other news, I'm trying to continue and make patches for the New Atlantis Audio User Library. This track features a glitchy drum kick from the Glas refill.

Day 441: Let's Start again
Lyrics:
Do you wanna go for a ride?
Come on now, hope inside.
Do you wanna make new friends?
Let's start again.
This is the end.
Let's start again.
Taking a break from my experiments with NAA to try something a little different. OR back to my old tricks. Take your pick.

Day 440: Glitch Electro Ambient Noise Recording
Still working with NAA stuff and creating patches. Here I wanted to try and create a patch that had a lot of the same effects that are created using Buffre, by Peff, but without actually using any rack extensions. With a little bit of thinking around the problem I managed to come up with a close approximation. A fun little experiment.

Tribal styled percussion mixed with electronic mixed with modern instruments.

Day 433: Getting Better
This lyrics should be self explanatory (though not wholly true).
Lyrics:
close your eyes,
close your mouth,
listen to me.
close your ears,
open your hands,
listen to me.
I got my voice back today.
hold your breath,
there are moments left,
listen to me.
hold your words,
hold what's said,
listen to me.
I got my voice back today.
Pay attention,
to what's said,
listen to me.
This could impact you,
Everything you do,
listen to me.
I got my voice back today.

Day 426: A minute
So, it's been a minute since I've been able to actually type anything here. Mostly it's been because I've been quite busy with the children and family/home life and making music daily, let alone blogging about it, has just been impossible. There have been many days where I was holding a baby with one hand and typing with the other. Even a few sentences in those cases was difficult, let alone a full paragraph or six.
Right now, I've gotten a cold and lost my voice, so that video I was going to do on a day when I was at home alone (like right now) isn't going to happen because I can't talk.... sigh....
One thing that is happening is more music on iTunes! An artist by the name of Abe Wantland painted a few water colors for me that will be the album covers for six albums that I have ready to upload to iTunes. The albums are compilations of the first 400 days of music. I tried to limit each album to 25 songs and got pretty close. I originally wanted to only do four, but all the genres weren't really covered by only 4, so it got bumped to six.
The first album, Ambient, Like You, is already up there. Here's the link.
There's more, but I need to go do house work and I'm getting dizzy again.

Day 378: Ramping Up
Continuing the thread from the last few days, here is another piece experimenting with Reason, CV routing, LFO's, and automation. All done with subtractor for sounds and a little bit of routing thru rack extensions by The Chronologists.

Day 377: Buzz in the New Year
Wanted to revisit Subtractor and continue making patches for it. I plan on releasing a Refill, probably for free, later this year, of nothing but Subtractor patches. Every type of instrument you can think of and just try to mutilate some sounds. I feel like it's potential is rarely unlocked by most Reason users, so I'm going to do my damndest to show how amazing it can be.

Day 365: Well, What I meant to Say...
The intent for today was to put up something epic, but due to the fact that it's almost Christmas and I have a bunch of family coming over tomorrow, the time that was going to be spent working on that epic piece got devoted to cleaning the house and taking care of other things. Instead you get this.
I'm guessing that there aren't too many people looking at this that are disappointed, or really is anyone even reading this thing? There are about 100 million blogs out there, so this one might just be getting lost in the mix. I have 3 subscribers after a year. I guess that means that 3 people are reading it. Sometimes.
Well, enjoy some messy glitch hop.

Day 361: Junto Christmas
This one's for the disquiet junto. A holiday themed project this week.
First comes the pad. Soft and gentle. Then the voice. Fake, it may be, but still worthing hearing. They slowly build, vacillate, ponder, wait, then fade and start again. In the background we can hear what might be the ticking of a clock, jingle bells, or scratching at your window.
